Benjamin's appointment with health visitor

Weight: 7.96kg
Mummy: Is it normal if he cries every time before he goes to sleep ?
Health visitor: What did you give him before he sleep?
Mummy: We cuddle & give him milk .
Health visitor: He cries because he used to be cuddled & sleep with his bottle. Try not to make him sleep by giving bottle.
Give him milk before bedtime, and when he's sleepy .. don't give him anymore, put him in his cot... let him sleep alone... mummy or daddy just wait near the cot, don't talk to him until he sleep, let him cry.. he'll stop if he knew no one will entertain him...  Do the same if he's wake-up in the middle of the night. Just let him sleep alone.
Repeat the same for 1 or 2 weeks... then after 2 weeks he'll sleep on his own and sleep throughout the night.
Then mummy & daddy will have good rest at night as well.
Mummy: Thank you for your advise nurse...
Haaa... did u hear that Benjamin.. after this you'll sleep alone.. 
Benjamin: Ok mummy.. i'll try!.
